House from the Forrest

The main consideration of the project was its location, this regarding to its peculiar topography and its climatic context. Located in the upper area of the mountain region of Heredia, the climate is characterized by an almost constant permanence of rain throughout the year. This creates an environment of high humidity, combined with strong gusts of wind and a low relative temperature.

That is why the project seeks to protect its interior from these climatic conditions in order to maintain a warm and relaxed atmosphere inside, but with large windows that allow you to visually enjoy the exuberant vegetation outside.

When designing the project, we combined materials and textures characteristic of the area such as stone and wood. In addition, together with a warm and soft lighting, we combine all together to define pleasant and cozy spaces: two of the main requirements requested by the owners.
